Criddle is a trading
company that supplies high quality ingredients to
animal feedstuff manufacturers across the UK.
Based in Liverpool, we source and supply co-products
from the processing of naturally grown materials
such as oilseeds and grain, buying on world markets,
including North and South America, Europe and parts
of Asia.
We are part of Edward Billington & Son Ltd a
diverse and outstandingly-successful international
foods and agriculture group, founded more than 140
years ago.
The name of Criddle has been associated with the
company’s animal feed activities for much
of its history.
The parent company is one of Britain’s largest,
privately-owned family businesses, with an established
tradition, shared by Criddle, of quality, service
and innovation.
MARKET EXPERTISE
The Criddle team has its finger on the pulse of
raw material supplies. Many of the team have worked
within the business for a long time and know the
markets inside out.
World markets for our feedstuff ingredients, like
many commodities, are in a constant state of flux,
with prices changing from hour to hour.
Our market knowledge and experience, coupled with
computerised real-time price information, ensure
that we source the best products at the best prices
for our UK-wide customer base.
We monitor every factor that might have a bearing
on quality, availability and price – including
plantings, weather, harvests, shipments and world
demand.
But our role does not end with sourcing and contracting
the sale. Far from it. Using specialised transport
contractors and our experienced logistics team,
we arrange deliveries to suit our customers needs
and requirements.
Adding all these elements together, we think Criddle
is a unique business – but that doesn’t
stop us from continuously striving to improve it.
SUPPORT AND COMMITMENT
At Criddle we pride ourselves on our responsive
customer service. We can and do work with short
lead times without compromising on any element of
our service.
The company operates to written quality standards,
reflecting its commitment to rigorous process and
systems management. We also vet and lay down strict
guidelines both for our suppliers and for the contractors
who deliver the ingredients. These are not just
finishing touches but fundamental elements of the
way Criddle does business.
“Criddle has created and operated partnerships
with suppliers and customers which have formed the
basis of our growth and success over the years.
Our reactive and
customer focussed team rise to meet the challenges
which the agribusiness marketplace presents with
increasing regularity.” |
